Castello di Corcolle Rome

Castello di Corcolle Rome

Via Zagarolese, km. 0, Roma

Description

A few kilometres from Rome's ring road, along the Via Zagarolese, the landscape shifts quietly: the city fades, and the Roman countryside opens up in its most understated, authentic form. Castello di Corcolle stands within this stillness — stone walls marked by time, open land stretching in every direction. This is not a backdrop assembled for the occasion. It is a place that predates any event held within it. The interior spaces retain the character of the original historic estate: reception halls accommodating up to 140 seated guests, a ballroom, and a bridal suite for those wishing to extend the celebration beyond the evening. Outside, the expansive gardens can be arranged for cocktail hours and banquets for up to 300 guests, with the kind of flexibility that allows every detail of the welcome to be shaped around your vision. On-site parking and the option to host both ceremony and reception in the same location remove logistical complexity without diminishing the atmosphere. Castello di Corcolle is well-suited to wedding receptions, outdoor civil ceremonies, private celebrations, and corporate events seeking a setting removed from urban formality. The unspoiled countryside surrounding the structure becomes an active part of the experience — not a backdrop, but a presence. Picture your event in this setting: late afternoon light across the stonework, the scent of open land, tables arranged among the greenery. Reach out to the venue to check availability and begin shaping the day you have in mind.

A true green oasis just a few steps away from the chaos of the Eternal City. A classic "country trattoria" in a location that deserves, however, different and better care. The cuisine is rustic and pleasant, the choice is certainly very limited but the authenticity seems to compensate for the problem. The owners and staff are all very friendly and helpful, and it is evident from the regulars' patronage that they manage to satisfy their customers. The location, however, appears very neglected and borderline acceptable, and would require a decisive renovation effort. Furthermore, a place that already has considerable charm just waiting to be brought out should be better enhanced. Everything seems old and tired, even the "makeshift" gazebos on the outdoor gravel area. It is well known that "old" and "antique" carry very different meanings.

Beautiful place, friendly staff, the owner is a very attentive and knowledgeable person. A fantastic day spent outdoors without the stress of noise and the rush of having to leave. Excellent lunch, a wonderful and simple appetizer of ham and cheese, two amazing first courses - pasta e fagioli and fettuccine with ragù, two main courses, and two side dishes, not to mention their own homemade wine. Excellent value for the quality. Ample parking, I will gladly return. Compliments to the entire staff.

A charming place, I have been coming here for 13 years and today I celebrated my daughter's confirmation. Emiro Valentino is the best, simple but quality cuisine.

Excellent family-run restaurant! The agriturismo "Castello di Corcolle", located in the Roman countryside, is a great place to escape the chaos of the capital and enjoy home-style cooking, with everything "homemade" above all. The appetizers of ricotta and fresh sheep's cheese are exquisite — though certainly not light, they are of excellent quality, leaving a delicate flavor in the mouth. Homemade fettuccine with tomato sauce are impeccable. The venue is really well-kept and, although it cannot be called a castle in the true sense of the word, I would personally describe it more as an ancient farmhouse which, though modest in size, shows all its charm as it dominates the countryside from the top of the hill where it stands. The staff is very courteous and efficient, and the owner is a truly refined and polite person. Excellent for birthday parties or special events, slightly less so for weddings.
